I too have tried so many plans and tricks for weight loss to no avail. I was constantly thinking about FOOD. When I shared this with my doctor she put me on a combination of two pills for appetite suppression. They have really helped me loose about 12 - 15 pounds over the last 6 months and also helped me with portion control as well! Ann Marie you are the real deal and I love following you !❤️
Sara, thank you! I'm so happy you found what works for you! The struggle to find that thing is real!! I appreciate you cheering me on! Doing the same for you!
That is a really good question. I think this is something you can be on indefinitely. That is a little intimidating to me, but if my dosing goes down to once a month...I don't think that will be so bad. I promise to share what I learn next.
I am doing it due to liver cirrhosis not weight loss. It is hard to navigate into what is right as there is no medication for cirrhosis except a strict diet combine with physical activity daily.
Thank for responding my message, much appreciated.
Did GLP for 3 weeks the last three weeks I’ve been on my own. I wanted the GLP to get me started and it did though to be honest I really was glad to get off it. So far I’ve lost 12 lbs with another 12 to go which hopefully will take another 6 to 8 weeks. Bottom line I’m thrilled that initially I used GLP, it truly got me started in the right direction.
Thanks Anne-Marie! I have been on Zepbound since November 2025 and I’ve lost 60 pounds. I’m also 76 years old! I have about 20 more pounds to go and I am thrilled about the progress. Hooray for us🤩
I really appreciate your sharing your experience! I have been curious about GLP1s. Thanks for honestly giving your insight. Congrats on the weight loss and feeling good about yourself! Please keep us updated
Thank you for sharing. I have been considering a GLP1 fie some time. My biggest concerns were addressed here - protein, long term maintenance and the needle. The needle being my biggest fear!
Thanks Ann Marie! Was looking forward to this post. I started about a month after you on Zepbound for the exact reason that you mentioned and so far have lost 10 pounds however it has been a roller coaster of side effects. Thinking I might spread out doses next month so I will be interested to see if that helps. I know you mentioned that you might do that at some point as well. Thanks again for sharing your journey!
Hi Tiffany. I'm sorry to hear that you've had side effects, but glad that you've had some good results. I'm just about at the goal my NP has for me, so I think we will be spacing out my doses to every 10 days and then maybe every 2 weeks. I promise to share if that's helpful.

How long does people usually stay on it?

Good luck to you! That doesn't sound like an easy diagnosis. I hope you find a path forward soon.

Way to go, Joe! That momentum the GLP-1 helps build is everything!!

I think you speak for all of us! I feel like it won't be long and the effectiveness of a GLP-1 in pill form will be here. We're so close!
Yes, after 1 year I am on track. Thank you!
